The Windygates Open Fours is an annual tournament, launched in August 2019.
The tournament was the brainchild of Bruce McCall, who visualised a large scale competitive fours tournament, played over a weekend and bringing the best players in Scotland to Windygates. Through various local sponsors, including Cupar Ford, Stuarts the Bakers, Taxi Centre and Blue Crags, plus entry money from 32 teams he created a high stakes tournament with prize money totaling £5,000.
The tournament was a great success in its first year and 28 of the 32 teams signed up for 2020.
